"Intuition is a very powerful thing, more powerful than intellect." – Steve Jobs

Learning to listen to and trust your intuition offers numerous benefits, including improved decision making, greater self-confidence, and alignment with your authentic self.  It helps reduce stress and anxiety by providing clarity and peace of mind, while also enhancing relationships, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Intuition connects you to your higher self, fostering spiritual growth and mindfulness, and can even help you avoid danger.  By tuning in to your inner guidance, you experience more joy, fulfillment, and personal transformation, leading to a life that flows more smoothly and feels deeply aligned with your true purpose.

You probably listen to your intuition more than you realize.  Here are some common statements indicating signals from your intuition:

  • "That gives me bad vibes."
  • "I have a gut feeling about this."
  • "This just doesn’t feel right."
  • "I had a hunch."
  • "Something feels off."
  • "I just knew."
  • "That rings true."
  • "It gave me chills."
  • "I had a feeling."
  • "It just clicked."

Sonia Choquette in her book 21 Days to Jump-Start Your Intuition: Awaken Your Most Empowering Super Sense offers valuable tips to tapping into this powerful skill.  Here are some of them:

  1. Accept Your Intuitive Sense: The first step is to fully acknowledge and accept that you have a super-intuitive sense that can guide you.
  2. Follow Your Heart: Pay attention to what brings you joy and what you love. Intuition often lies behind what lights you up and captures your imagination.
  3. Care for Your Body: Keep your body well-nourished and rested, as physical health supports your ability to receive intuitive signals. Avoid alcohol and maintain good habits to keep your body a strong intuitive receiver.
  4. Get Grounded: Stay grounded by practicing deep breathing, spending time alone, and connecting with nature. Being calm and centered allows you to better hear your intuitive voice.
  5. Listen to Your Body: Your body is a messenger for intuitive insights. Pay attention to physical sensations and signals, as they often reflect intuitive guidance.
  6. Meditate Regularly: Meditation helps quiet the mind, making it easier to detach from distractions and tune into your inner guidance.
  7. Practice Mindfulness: Cultivating mindfulness helps amplify your intuition by keeping you present in the moment and aware of subtle signals.
  8. Write Down Your Intuitive Insights: Keep a notebook to track intuitive feelings, hunches, and gut reactions. Writing them down reinforces your trust in these insights.
  9. Be Honest with Yourself: Don’t ignore intuitive messages just because they might be uncomfortable. Be open and honest in receiving what your intuition is telling you.
  10. Ground and Reset Through Breathwork: Use grounding techniques like deep breathing and visualization to calm your nervous system and reset when you're overwhelmed or ungrounded.
